Talking with God

image

Do you ever feel blocked in your talk with God?  Right now that’s how I’ve been feeling. He’s still in my heart & I talk to him regularly subliminally through my thoughts but for some reason I can’t seem to compose the words in the right order for them to come out of my mouth.  My mind is a jumble of various thoughts and emotions that I KNOW only He can make sense of.

This is definitely a time when I am ever so thankful that God knows our hearts. It doesn’t stop me from feeling frustrated though because I feel I should be able to form words to talk to my Father.

You’re more than a donut hole….

I can’t help but agree with this which is why I had to share. Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Married people in successful relationships and folk with the gift of singleness (those who don’t need relationships like apostle Paul) tend to be Judgmental or non-empathetic towards people like me. (Single man needing a wife or a woman needing a husband) yes I said needing! I hear it all, “you’re like a doughnut and need to fill your center with Jesus“, (PLEASE) then I ask what if you’re a donut hole? (Like a Dunkin munchkin) and they say, “you need to get bigger with Jesus on the outside. You need to fast more, you need to go to church more, you need to pray more, you need to read your Bible more, you need to eat more roughage,” I hear it all.

They’re almost arrogant in their statement when they say “LONG AS YOU GOT KANG JESUS YOU DON’T NEED NOBODY ELSE.” Okay let’s just say you’re right, my question is why didn’t God say that same thing to Adam in the garden? Adam, why you tripping I’m right here, you don’t need nobody else I’m all you need, feel your center with Me! Now I hear the Bible scholars say well he needed Adam and Eve together to be fruitful multiply and replenish the earth. I don’t agree because God could’ve made 7 billion people at the same time within six seconds and placed them strategically all over the earth.

The truth is God did it this way for a reason. He took Eve from Adam’s side for a reason, and placed inside of Adam a love for Eve like no other and vice versa. (We’ll get into that on another post.) God is love and with in Himself lies the most intense and greatest of all intimacies and He just wanted to share it as a gift to the human race. That’s why falling in love/choosing to be in love, a deep soul intimate connection and sexual intimacy feel so good because it’s God’s gift we’ve just perverted and distorted it.

Although there’s a joyous side of love there’s also pain, heartache, tears and confusion, but I still try. Now I understand the “you need to be whole” conversation but I still believe that two people touching and agreeing can bring God into their circumstance and let him be the ultimate healer. So for all you perfect people out there that don’t need what I need, pray for me. And for all you single people out there like me that want to be in love, keep believing in true love because it does exist, and when you find it love and appreciate it like it’s your last day on earth. Let’s trust God together.

Love

BARBERSHOP CONFESSIONS

barberFor those of you that frequent black barbershop’s you will know that this is a place where confessions are made and discussions are had. I am unable to speak on other types of shops in this manner, but the barbershop is a place to get saved, talk about racism and the female race.

Yesterday’s subject was on female pastors and the white man keeping the brother down. Of course, I played with the iPhone and looked into space trying to avoid eye contact, so that I would not be dragged into this discussion. I wanted my haircut and to leave as soon as possible. I was not successful, as someone insisted that I give my opinion on the matter. So there I was in the presence of one white guy, an Asian guy, a couple of Spanish guys, and the rest where black males.

Sharing Scripture Meditation

Scripture Meditation

Sometimes there’s nothing like the word of God to help us make it through our day so today I’m asking for you to simply share with us any scripture that has and/or does touch you.  Maybe it’s something that will help someone else as well.

Thank you & have a blessed day!

A scripture that I enjoy:

Philippians 4:8-9 (NLT)

8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

I Prayed….

Praying Hands 2

I prayed for change, so I changed my mind.
I prayed for guidance and learned to trust myself.
I prayed for happiness and realized I am not my ego.
I prayed for peace and learned to accept others unconditionally.
I prayed for abundance and realized my doubt kept it out.
I prayed for wealth and realized it is my health.
I prayed for a miracle and realized I am the miracle.
I prayed for a soul mate and realized I am the One.
I prayed for love and realized it’s always knocking, but I have to allow it in.

How to Feed a Possum

Daily Encouraging Word

† How to Feed a Possum †

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:26 NIV

Painstakingly I hand rubbed four chicken breasts with olive oil, seasoned them carefully, pre-heated the grill to first sear them, and then slow cooked them over the flame, turning them back and forth until they were golden brown. After this, I placed my culinary creation on a plate, but as I opened the door three of them fell on the porch!

I was not to happy about this, but I took the three that I dropped out to the edge of the woods by our home and we split the last one between us. The next morning they were all gone. An opossum and a stray dog had enjoyed a feast together. God gave them a banquet, and He had me prepare it for them, gourmet style.

God takes care of the entire universe. If He will take care of a possum and a stray dog how much more will He take care of you? God sees where you are today and you are not hidden from Him. He just might be preparing something good for you.

Jesus loves you so much that He traded His life for yours! 🙂

Peace Be With You

ASK PERMISSION

Wisdom Hunters
“But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.” Daniel 1:8

Some do what they want now and later ask for forgiveness. Those who work the system to their advantage miss seeing God work out His will in time. Daniel resolved to do the right thing, but he submitted to the lines of authority in his life. A wise reminder: we show respect to a boss, parent, teacher or civic official by seeking permission and not dismissing. Our submissive attitude is an opportunity for the Lord to work in the hearts of those who may not know Jesus.

Whose blessing do you need before you move forward with your idea or decision? How will they feel knowing you took the time to include them in the process? Faith is a function of being comfortable in circumstances that are out of your control. By letting go of having to get something now, you are able to watch the Lord provide something even better later. Moreover, your quiet and compliant spirit is a channel for the Holy Spirit to draw others to Himself.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Psalm 37:7

Perhaps your parents have not given you permission to marry at this time, if so, be patient and trust the Lord will change their heart or yours in His timing. Maybe you have a much better way to move forward with a project at work, but your boss is not convinced it is legitimate. Pray and submit to the conventional, but trust God will use your creative solutions as a seed that grows into future changes. The Holy Spirit can convert people and circumstances as you wait on Him!

Above all, make sure your Heavenly Father has signed off on your actions, before you barrel ahead with premature initiatives. Better to receive peace through patient prayer, instead of pain from impatient prayerlessness. Ask the Holy Spirit for permission before you proceed. Silence means wait, not now; no means I have something better in store for you and yes means move forward by faith. Thus, ask for permission now, so you won’t have to ask for forgiveness later.

Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. Romans 13:5

Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me courage to ask permission and faith to trust You with the answer.

He never makes mistakes…….

A king who did not believe in the goodness of God, had a slave who, in all circumstances would always say “my king, do not be discouraged, because everything God does is perfect. He makes no mistakes!”

One day they went hunting and along the way a wild animal attacked the king. His slave managed to kill the animal, but could not prevent his majesty from losing a finger.   Furious and without showing his gratitude for being saved, the nobleman asked “Is God good? If He was good, I would not have been attacked and lost my finger.”

The slave replied: “My king, despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good, and he knows why these things happened. What God does is perfect. He is never wrong!” Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his slave.

Later, the King left for another hunt, this time alone. He was captured by savages who engaged in human sacrifices.  On the altar and ready to sacrifice the nobleman, the savages discovered that their victim did not have one of his fingers. According to them, only a whole person with all his/her parts intact could be offered to the gods. The King without a finger was deemed an abominable sacrifice for their gods. So they released the King.

Upon his return to the palace, the King authorized the release of his slave. He received the slave affectionately.  He asked his slave, “my dear, God was really good to me! I was almost killed by the wild men, but for lack of a single finger, I was let go! But I have a question: if God is so good, why did he allow me to put you in jail?”  The slave answered, “my King, if I had gone with you on this hunt, I would have been sacrificed instead because I have no missing finger. Remember everything God does is perfect. He is never wrong. He made you keep me in jail so I would not be with you on the hunt.”

Often we complain about life, and negative things that happen to us, forgetting that nothing is random and that everything has a purpose.

Every morning, offer your day to God, don’t be in a rush.  Ask God to inspire your thoughts, guide your actions, and ease your feelings. And do not be afraid. God is never wrong!

You know why this message is for you? I do not know, but God knows, because He never makes mistakes…….

The path of God and his word is perfect, without impurities. He is the way of all those who trust in Him, as He says in 2 Samuel 22: 31

What you do with this message is up to you. May God put in your heart the desire to send it to someone. God knows why He choose you to receive this message. Please bless someone with it.

God is never wrong!

Forgiveness and Gods Unconditional Love

In today’s society I think we would all agree that the statistics for divorce is increasing at an alarming rate. But would you also agree that if we truly understood what it means to have the unconditional love of God those rates would drop tremendously? Not only do we put limitations on our love, but we are unwilling to forgive one another for ANY/ALL wrong doings.

Some may say that, “well if he/she did this or that I just couldn’t forgive them.” Well that’s not showing the unconditional love and forgiveness that God intends for us to have. The bible tells us to forgive so that we may be forgiven. (Luke 17:4) states that no matter how many times a person wrongs us , if they ask for forgiveness we ought to forgive.

Now I know that this is easier said than done in most cases, especially if infidelity is involved. But if that is the case , there is nothing too hard for God (Luke 18:27) …but with God all things are made possible. Forgiveness is not just for the other person, it is to ease our troubled mind and give us peace and the strength to move on from the hurt. You may not fully understand why things happened but there is a purpose to everything you may experience in this life. All things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are called to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) There is a reason for each trial and storm and God knew you could handle it.

Question of the day: If God is for marriage, and it being the example of his love for the church, when then is adultry permissible grounds for divorce?
